Do I have a chance being an Air Force officer with a music degree?
My life has unfortunately been full of mediocrity due to my poor decisions. I don't want a career in music. I want a career that extends way beyond mediocrity and challenges me for once. Eventually, I'd like to attend law school but would rather not take out a crap load of loans. The Air Force has a great program that pays the officer's tuition for law school. However, I'm a little skeptical on my acceptance to OTS.
A music degree is not in big demand in the Air Force, and generally it is preferred for potential Air Force officers to have technical degrees (engineering, hard sciences, etc.) with at least a 3.5 GPA. The Air Force requirements to be an officer are quite stringent. The Army is currently accepting 100% of qualified officer applicants though, so you stand a better chance of being accepted there.
