I got back on the lighting deal on this... Had it next day shipped (I love Amazon Prime!) and set it up the day once I ordered it. Out of the box, based mostly screwed on, and got wind of via HDMI in underneath quarter-hour. the largest concern was the remote and therefore the warranty. There are four screws that hold the bottom down. this could even be connected to a regular VESA wall mount. There are lots of inputs as pictured. The VGA is incredibly nice if you needed to hook a laptop up to the present. The aspect RCA and aspect HDMI may be a nice addition for a TV at this worth purpose. The menu interface is well done and really plenty higher than i would expect for one thing at this worth. the image is sweet and for the value, very you cannot go wrong!
The TV appeared well packed and guarded. There was a pleasant thick plastic sheet taped to the front to guard the particular screen. 3 language manuals and a fast begin card for assembly are within the package. there have been no dead pixels on my set and therefore the image is crisp and clear. Note: This TV is merely 720p, it's NOT 1080p as mentioned in another review. Overall i am terribly impressed with this TV for the value.

Akai remote will not work the tv it came with and new batteries are in it.?
I have a Akai tv with remote a few day's ago I had to change the batteries in the remote and when I put new batteries into it the remote tv button flashed twice on the remote and now the remote will not work the tv I have no idea what is going on the remote is the one that came with the tv so I should not have to put in a code the remote seems to work it just does not work the tv.
I seem that I can't find any type of support page on the akai web site to get some type of answer can someone help out any way at all.
Oh yea the remote is a akai kc02-d2 and so far I have not been able to get to the back of the tv for the model number but the serial # is 70086793
i dont know that model but some remotes can work a tv a vcr and a dvd or satellite . there is button to select which one . check if the remote is of this type and you need to select "tv"
