Altec Lansing Rolls Out New Speakers: inMotion Moondance GLOW iM402,
Altec Lansing sure came out fighting today, with it not only debuting a brand new logo, but a bundle of new speakers and iPod docks that sport the new branding. The most stand-out, by far, are the Expressionist Bass speakers pictured above, which are a full ten inches high and include built-in 4-inch subwoofers and two 1.5-inch drivers apiece. Look for them to set you back $130 when they're released next month in both black and white versions.
On the slightly less intimidating front, Altec Lansing has the $40 Orbit MP3 iM237 single-speaker unit, which runs on three AAA batteries, and a pair of new inMotion iPod speaker systems: the inMotion Moondance GLOW and the inMotion MAX, the former of which even includes a special "snooze remote." Look for those to run you $200 and $180, respectively -- pics after the break.

Is the Altec Lansing iM414 Speaker Dock compatible with the Sansa Fuze MP3 player?
I cannot find anything online about this. I know it worked on the iM413, but that item is discontinued so I was wondering if the new compatibility carried over to the iM414?
Thanks.
None, thanks. I know it says for Zune, but I also know not to read into this since some of the discontinued models say 'IPOD only', yet they still worked.
I guess the only disadvange through the Aux cable would be that it won't charge while playing, correct?
It says it's for Zune. Unless you know the dock connectors are the same on Zune and Sansa, just e-mail A-L. If you mean with an auxiliary cable though, yes, it'll work.
The aux cable won't charge and the remote won't work. If you're going to go that route, honestly, what I would do is just grab a set of the computer speakers they have on sale for half off. I have an A-L dock, several pairs of their earbuds and I have three sets of those speakers. For forty bucks, they rock! You can use the speakers on a computer or portable DVD player too.
I didn't know they ever had anything for Sansa, but then I didn't know they had Zune docks either -- being an iPod kinda gal! lol
