No. You have been listening to too much marketing.
Before you buy Bose - try to find 2 positive reviews.
(Bit of a trick because Bose sue's anybody who tries to review their speakers. Search for "Bose vs Consumer Reports" for details).
The real secret to a good home experience is a good subwoofer. Something like a SVS Woofers Cylinder or Box series. The guys who make SVS also praise HSU Research subwoofers.
Now you add 5 monitor style speakers from a real speaker company (Definitive Technology, Paradigm, B&W, Polk, Energy, ... lots)
Then you properly place the speakers, level adjust with a Radio Shack SPL meter and you will get close to movie theater quality sound.
We are talking $1,000 - $2,000 here. (One of the big secrets to HT - you dont need full-range towers or music-caliber speakers for a great movie experience.)
To do better - you would be getting to room treatments and fixing room acoustics. This is dooable, but a lot more expensive.
