Does anyone know anything about this Onkyo Home Theater System?
I am looking into upgrading my home theater system, i want great sound that is clear crisp at low and high volume, i want a 7.1 system 3 front 2 side 2 rear 1 sub, if ound this system from Onkyo at Circuit City http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=148967&c=1 , if anyone has any professional knowledge on this type of equipment and could tell me if this is a good system or just the low end crappy version of a 7.1 system, also they have a 7.1 system thats THX certified for about double the price http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/157634/catOid/-13325/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do , whats the difference between the two, and how noticeable would the difference be?
I have this system, it is the HT-S790 7.1 It can handle allot of bass. The reciever is made to last and is quality. It also is easy to hook up, color coded so if you don't like it, return it within 30 days, it is Circuit City's guarantee if you are not happy with it. I never had a problem with the sync problem like I did with the LG system. Just remember how you took it out of the box. Consumer reports give this one a very high rating. Until you buy your own Home Theatre in separate pieces, I would get this one, but Judge for your yourself, the price is worthy for what you get. No, it is not crappy at all. Remember, it is a bassy system. Usually a 2 on the bass is sufficient. Oh and the Sub, it has it's own plug in and is very clear, when I piece our own system together in the future, I will still stick with Onyko's sub. Good Luck deciding.
